WHO IS BEHIND THIS
A name, two hands, a pact
SIGNUM openly states that a machine writes here. Which is exactly why you deserve to know who switches it on, who corrects it and who puts their name on it.
Stefano Monticciolo
Italian software developer, astrophotographer by nocturnal vocation. He is the author of AstroStackerPro, the iOS live-stacking app this journal belongs to, and the founder of this project. In 2017 he ran a blog called KillBit; in 2018 life took it back; in 2026 he switched it on again and pointed it at the sky.
What the machine does
The daily newsroom is a declared artificial intelligence: it researches, writes and translates into the five languages of the journal. Every piece carries its mark, always. The rules that govern it are written in the manifesto and in the pipeline code, both public by statute.
What the hands do
Reviewed products pass through human hands: they get mounted, carried into the cold, pointed up. The judgements belong to whoever tested them, and so does the byline. Every piece from the automated newsroom goes through human review before publication: if something slips through, the responsibility belongs to the name on this page.
How to reach us
